Important Dates for the Remainder of the Year

Friday, May 1 – Explore Zone in the gym –WEAR CLASS T-SHIRT

Thursday May 7 – Reading Campout  - note in Wed. folder 

Friday May 8 – Field Day for 1st – 3rd  ( 12:15 or so) We will have a picnic lunch on this day before we go to field day. 

Friday May 8 -ALL LIBRARY BOOKS DUE – LAST DAY TO TEST!

Monday May 11Computer Explorers/This activity is in place of leaving campus for a field trip.  The class will build a lego structure and control it with the computer.  This is a great computer science/technology program.  We will need to eat lunch at 11:00 before our class and have an afternoon snack. 

Tuesday May 12 – AR Store

Monday May 18 – Award and Party Day - We will have our class awards at 8:30 – 9:15, eat a snack , then arrive at the YMCA for our Swim party/Luau from 10:00 – 12:30.  We will have a pizza lunch at 12:30.

Wednesday May 20, Thurs., May 21 and Friday May 22 are all ½ days with dismissal at 11:30.

Booserthon Fun Run is  Mon. April 27!!!
Wear your  Fun Run t-shirt, athletic shoes and shorts!
We will meet on the field out front near the entrance at 8:45.
***If it rains, we will be in the High School Gym at 10:45

We will participate in the Explore Zone next Friday, which is science  activities provided by the high school science classes.

Reading: We will continue the unit Cause and Effect.  New sheets are in their red folders.  Begin to study the pattern statement, process questions, and vocabulary words.

English:  We are in chapter 17.  Study the synonyms, antonyms and vocabulary word.

Math: We will continue learning -8 math facts. Please practice/review facts at home. Please look at the daily sheets to see if your child needs help with any skills. 

IXL math skill:  N2 – Round to the nearest ten.

English: We will test chapter 13 Monday after a review, then do chapter 15.   Study the synonyms and antonyms. Review with your child the difference in a complete sentence and a fragment.  A sentence must have a subject and a verb.  A fragment will only have a subject or a verb, not both.
  
Math: We will continue learning -6 math facts.  Please practice facts at home. Please look at the daily sheets to see if your child needs help with any skills.
